Akriti Chopra, Zomato’s co-founder and Chief People Officer, has stepped down from her position, marking the end of her 13-year tenure at the food delivery giant.
In a resignation email to CEO Deepinder Goyal, Chopra wrote: “Deepi, as discussed, I’m formally submitting my resignation, effective today, September 27, 2024. These 13 years have been an enriching journey. Thank you for everything. I’m just a call away. Wishing you and Zomato all the best.”
Chopra joined Zomato in 2011 as Senior Manager – Finance and Operations. She later served as CFO until 2020, when Akshant Goyal took over. Most recently, she held the role of Chief People Officer.
Zomato informed stock exchanges of Chopra’s immediate resignation. The move comes as the company continues to evolve and navigate the competitive food delivery landscape.
