Beirut, Lebanon: A series of explosions shook the Lebanese capital Beirut, resulting from ongoing airstrikes targeting southern Lebanon. The strikes have displaced hundreds of thousands of people, with many seeking refuge in the city center.
Displaced families from Dahieh and surrounding towns have flooded into the city center, seeking refuge. Many were forced to flee their homes with little notice and are now stranded on the streets.

The airstrikes have been described as “unprecedented,” with reports indicating that six people were killed and 91 injured in an earlier strike. Lebanese officials report nearly 700 civilians have lost their lives since the bombing campaign began.
The Israeli military has confirmed the deaths of top Hezbollah leaders, including Muhammad Ali Ismail and Hussein Ahmad Ismail, attributed to several attacks on Israeli territory.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed to “defeat Hezbollah” in a speech at the United Nations, while President Joe Biden has instructed the Pentagon to reassess US military deployments in West Asia.
The situation remains dire, with ongoing airstrikes and international calls for a ceasefire. Multiple countries have issued travel advisories urging citizens in Lebanon to exercise caution.
