‘Look at the situation in Jammu, Our brave soldiers are being targeted; BJP must answer for rising militancy in last three years’: Omar Abdullah

Srinagar : Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah has expressed serious concerns over the increasing militancy in Jammu, highlighting the rising number of attacks on soldiers in recent years.

He pointed out that the ‘BJP-led government must take responsibility for the surge in violence, questioning why the militancy graph has sharply risen during the last three years’.

Abdullah emphasized that ‘no area in Jammu has remained untouched by these attacks, demanding answers from the BJP on their failure to curb the growing security threats in the region’.

“Look at the situation in Jammu. Our brave soldiers are being targeted, and the BJP must answer why the militancy graph has surged in the last three years. There is no area in Jammu where attacks aren’t happening,” Abdullah told reporters, as per news agency KINS.

He also criticized the BJP for its conflicting narratives regarding responsibility for the situation. “When they speak in Jammu and Kashmir, they say three dynasties are responsible. When they speak outside J&K, they say Pakistan is to blame. If we are responsible, why aren’t they engaging with Pakistan? Why, in other countries, do they blame Pakistan? There is a clear contradiction in their stance,” Abdullah added.

He further added, “I think there is no BJP Union Minister or Chief Minister who has not talked about our manifesto. If the Prime Minister and Home Minister are talking about me, I must be doing something right.”
