Srinagar: The Srinagar District Administration has categorically denied social media rumors about cash distribution to voters in Ranbirgarh and Zainakote areas, labeling them “fake” and “baseless.”

In a statement issued to Asian Mail, a factual report from the MCC monitoring Flying Squad team revealed no suspicious activities, dismissing allegations of Model Code of Conduct (MCC) violations.
“The District Administration is committed to conducting free, fair, and accessible elections,” officials stated. “Those spreading baseless rumors and propaganda will face consequences,” reads the statement.
Police have been directed to file an FIR against rumormongers, taking cognizance of the issue.
