AEE, 2 JEs of Jal Shakti Suspended over ‘MCC Violation’, ‘Participation’ in Political Activities

Jammu : An Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) and two Junior Engineers (JEs) of Jal Shakti Department (PHE) in Jammu were suspended for their “participation” in political activities and “violation” of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC).

As per the news agency CNS, the authorities have ordered disciplinary action against officers – AEE PHE Sub Division Dachhan, Hydraulic Division, Kishtwar Younis Mohammad; JE PHE Sub Division Dachhan, Hydraulic Division, Kishtwar Imtayaz Hussain and JE PHE Sub Division Mendhar, Poonch Ateeq ur Rehman – after their alleged participation in political activities during the ongoing Assembly Elections 2024. Besides, the three officers – AEE and two JEs – have been attached to the office of Chief Engineer Jal Shakti (PHE) Jammu during the period of suspension.

Meanwhile, I/c Assistant Engineer, Vishal Gupta, presently posted in TCC Division Jammu, RTIC Jammu, was transferred and posted in PHE Sub-Division Dachhan against available vacancy. He was also tasked to look after the work of the post of AEE, PHE Sub-Division, Dachhan, Hydraulic Division Kishtwar, in addition to his own duties till further orders. Junior Engineer Sanjeev Sharma, presently posted in PHE Division Kathua was also transferred and posted in Hydraulic Division Kishtwar against the available vacancy. (CNS)
