Samba: SVEEP initiative promotes voter awareness through U-19 Girls Volleyball Championship


Samba: The District Youth Services and Sports Office (DYSSO) Samba, under the esteemed leadership of Director General Rajinder Singh Tara, inaugurated Inter-District Divisional Level Volleyball Championship for Under-19 Girls today at Government High School Jatwal. The event is being supervised by DYSSO, Dharmvir Singh and marks the celebration of youth sportsmanship and empowerment.
Chief Education Officer Kewal Kumar was the Chief Guest , while other guests included Ekshu, Assistant Director Handloom and District Nodal Officer SVEEP. Their presence added prestige to the occasion and encouraged the participants.
In her motivating address, the Nodal Officer SVEEP urged the students and athletes to actively participate in sports and fulfill their democratic responsibility. She emphasized the power and importance of vote and urged participants to spread awareness about the same. She also encouraged the audience to report any instances of drug consumption to the police or district administration to promote a healthier, drug-free society.
The championship witnessed enthusiastic participation, with 83 girls forming seven teams from various districts of the Jammu province. Their dedication, energy, and team spirit set the tone for an exciting tournament.
The DYSSO extended heartfelt congratulations to all the participants and winners for their exemplary sportsmanship.
