Thousands of devotees assembled at the revered Hazratbal Shrine on the banks of Dal Lake for congregational Friday prayers and supplications, which passed off peacefully.

A large number of people, including men, women, and children, thronged the shrine to catch a glimpse of the holy relic of Prophet Mohammad on the occasion.

The night-long prayers, “Shab Khawani,” were also held on Thursday night, with special prayers offered.

Eid-e-Milad (SAW) celebrations were held across the Valley, with various mosques and shrines hosting religious functions.

The authorities had made elaborate arrangements for the devotees, ensuring a smooth and peaceful celebration.
