District Level Boxing Competitions of U-19 Boys & Girls Concludes

Jammu: The Department of Youth Services and Sports J&K successfully concluded the Inter-Zonal District Level Competitions of Boxing for U-19 boys and girls on Thursday at MA Stadium here. The sports tourney was organized under the guidance of Director General Youth Services and Sports, J&K Rajinder Singh Tara.

This competition served as a vital platform for young athletes to showcase their skills and compete for victory, with approximately 30 participants representing various zones across District Jammu. The primary objective was to identify and nurture promising talent for future competitions.

The event was overseen by a team of experts from the department, including Sunil Abrol, Vishal Singh, Jatinder Kumar, William Kumar, Nitin Sharma, Rohit Sadhotra, and other technical officials.

Harvinder Kour, In-Charge DYSSO Jammu, commended the participants for their dedication and encouraged them to exhibit team spirit throughout the competition. She awarded medals and certificates to the winners and runners-up, celebrating their achievements.

  • -75 KG: Vansh Singh (Zone Akhnoor)
  • -81 KG: Manit Rattan (Zone Miran Sahib)
  • -91 KG: Sourav Prkaya (Zone Miran Sahib)
  • +91 KG: Angad Saini (Zone Miran Sahib)

Results of the U-19 Girls Finals:

  • -45 KG: Uravashi (Zone Gandhi Nagar)
  • -54 KG: Jasmeen Kour (Zone Miran Sahib)
