Terrorism nearing to end in J&K: PM Modi; Upcoming elections will decide J&K’s future:PM Modi

Doda: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a massive rally in Doda, Jammu and Kashmir, asserting that “terrorism is counting its last days” in the Union Territory. He emphasized that the upcoming elections will decide the future of J&K.

Modi criticized the Abdullahs, Muftis, and Gandhis for ruining J&K, promoting separatism and terrorism for seven decades. “Let me tell you that terrorism is counting its last days in J&K. The upcoming elections in J&K will decide the UT’s future,” he said according to KNS correspondent.

He praised BJP workers for their enthusiasm, saying, “I really appreciate your great enthusiasm.” Modi credited the BJP government with bringing democracy to the grassroots level, highlighting the success of Block Development Council and District Development Council elections, which empowered youth.

The Prime Minister praised BJP candidate Shagun Parihar, whose parents were killed by terrorists, as a symbol of resilience. “We gave her a ticket to contest polls. She is our tool against terrorism,” he said.

Modi reassured the crowd that BJP will restore J&K’s statehood, making it a terror-free region and tourist paradise. “We are committed to make J&K terror-free region and a paradise for tourists,” he said.

He announced upcoming projects, including a direct train from Delhi to Srinagar. “We are connecting the remote parts of Jammu and Kashmir by rail. People of Ramban district, Doda, Kishtwar, and Kashmir Valley can reach Delhi directly by train; we will fulfill this dream of yours.”

Modi also outlined BJP’s commitments to the people of J&K, including free treatment up to Rs 7 lakh for poor families, depositing Rs 18,000 annually into eldest women’s bank accounts, and increasing PM Samman Nidhi for farmers to Rs 10,000.

Taking a jab at NC, Congress, and PDP’s manifestos, Modi warned that they advocate returning to the “bad old days” of Article 370 and rolling back reservations for marginalized communities. “Other manifestos call for return of Article 370 and roll back of reservations to Paharis, Gujjars, and Bakerwals. They also advocate snatching of voting rights of Valmikis and Dalits.”
