In a statement issued to Asian Mail, a police spokesperson said that a Police party of PP Narbal at a checkpoint established at Javid Colony, Bazar Mohalla, Narbal intercepted a suspicious person identified as Khazir Mohd Sheikh son of Sanaullah Sheikh resident of Bazar Mohalla Narbal. During the search, 83 grams of Charas was recovered from his possession. He has been arrested and shifted to a police station where he remains in custody.
Meanwhile, a case FIR No. 122/2024 under relevant sections of law has been registered in PS Magam and investigation has been initiated.
People are requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddling in their neighbourhood.
