DGP J&K condoles sad demise of Manju Rashid

Srinagar: On behalf of the J&K Police Pariwar, the Director General of Police, J&K, R.R. Swain, has expressed deep sorrow over the sad demise of Manju Rashid, a dedicated lady officer who left for heavenly abode last evening.

In his condolence message, the DGP extended his sincere sympathies to the bereaved family and relatives of the deceased officer. He has prayed for the departed soul and said, “Our thoughts and prayers are with her loved ones during this difficult time.”

Manju Rashid was a respected member of the J&K Police family. The entire police force stands in solidarity with her family and loved ones during this hour of grief.

Rashid, who served the Jammu and Kashmir Police with distinction, retired as Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police.

The Nimaz-e-Janaza of the deceased officer will be held today at 1500 hours at Gujjar Nagar Graveyard, Jammu.

During her illustrious career, Manju Rashid served the police organization with dedication and professionalism at many important positions, contributing significantly to the safety and security of the region which includes; Dy.SP CID, SDPO Bakshi Nagar, Dy.SP Armed Police, Dy.SP GRP, Staff Officer to DIG, AD,Adm Police TRG College Udhampur, Principal Police Technical Institute Vijaypur, Staff Officer to IGP Jammu Range, Commandant 14th Bn./3rd IR Jammu, DIG Armed Police and retired as DIG in the year 2009.
