Tarun Chug Challenges Omar, Mehbooba to Debate on JK Situation After August 5, 2019

Jammu:  BJP General Secretary Tarun Chug has called for an open debate with Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti, as well as members of the Gandhi family, regarding the situation in Jammu and Kashmir following the abrogation of Article 370 on August 5, 2019.

Chug, speaking at a press conference in Jammu, stated that he is prepared to debate the changes in J&K since the abrogation. He mentioned that official figures on terror incidents, civilian deaths, security forces’ deaths, and stone pelting incidents are available for comparison before and after August 5, 2019.

Chug also addressed NC president Dr. Farooq Abdullah’s comments about releasing jailed leaders, questioning if this would include those who supported stone pelting and terrorism. He emphasized that the BJP is ready to debate the changes in J&K since the abrogation of Article 370.
