The polls for the Kulgam constituency are scheduled for September 18, 2024, as part of the first phase of elections. Tarigami’s nomination was preceded by a road show from Bus Stand Larnoo to Mini Stadium Chawalgam, which drew a significant number of locals.
Tarigami will contest the 39-Kulgam assembly seat against other prominent leaders, including Nazir Ahmad Laway of the People’s Conference (PC). The election is expected to be a keenly contested one, with Tarigami’s experience and grassroots support pitted against his opponents.
