BJP Releases Third List of Candidates for J&K Assembly Polls

Srinagar: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday announced its third list of candidates for the upcoming Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections. The list, released a day after the party withdrew an earlier announcement, makes only one change, replacing Rohit Dubey with Baldev Raj Sharma for the Vaishno Devi seat.

The BJP has fielded a strong lineup of candidates across various constituencies. For Habbakadal, Ashok Bhat will be the party’s candidate, while Mohammad Akram Choudhary will contest from Gulabgarh. Kuldeep Raj Dubey has been fielded from Reasi, and Baldev Raj Sharma will contest from Mata Vishnaw Devi.

In addition, the party has announced the following candidates: Randhir Singh for Kalakote-Sunderbani, Zulfiqar Choudhary for Budhal, Iqbal Malik for Thanamandi, Syed Mushtaq Bhukhari for Surankote, Choudhary Ab Gani for Poonch Haveli, and Murtaza Khan for Mendhar.

The BJP has also finalized its candidates for several constituencies in the Jammu region. Pawan Gupta will contest from Udhampur West, Bulwant Singh Mankotia from Chenani, Sunil Bhardwaj from Ram Nagar, Jeevan Lal from Bani, Satish Sharma from Billawar, and Darshan Singh from Basohli.

Other candidates include Rajiv Jasrotia for Jasrota, Adv Vijay Kumar Sharma for Hiranagar, Devinder Kumar Maniyal for Ramgarh, Surjit Singh Slathia for Samba, Chander Prakash Ganga for Vijaypur, Gharu Ram Bhagat for Suchetgarh, Narinder Singh Raina for RS Pora (Jammu South), Yudhvir Sethi for Jammu East, Davinder Singh Rana for Nagrota, Arvind Gupta for Jammu West, Sham Lal Sharma for Jammu North, Mohan Lal Baghat for Akhnoor, and Rajiv Sharma for Chhamb.
