Nowgam Assault: Police Arrest Two, Hunt for More Accused

Srinagar: Srinagar police have arrested two individuals involved in an assault incident in the Nowgam area of Central Kashmir’s Srinagar district.

In a X Post, ” Police has taken cognizance of an incident resulting in grievous injuries to one individual upon being beaten by cricket bat in Madankha, Nowgam.
FIR No. 74/2024 u/s 191(2), 191(3), 126(2), 131, 109 BNS stands registered in PS Nowgam.”


Investigation into the case has been initiated. Two accused persons have been arrested and efforts are on to arrest the other accused, reads the post.

A video of the assault, which occurred during a cricket match, went viral earlier in the day.
