Rahul Gandhi’s Visit Boosts Congress Morale in J&K: Mir

Srinagar: Ghulam Ahmed Mir, the former J&K PCC chief, expressed his pleasure at seeing Rahul Gandhi and AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge in J&K.

He acknowledged that Rahul Gandhi’s visit is a morale booster for Congress workers, especially as the party gears up for upcoming elections.

Mir highlighted that Gandhi’s presence would energize the party and provide a fresh impetus as they prepare for electoral challenges.

“It is a great pleasure to see AICC chief and leader of the opposition Rahul in J&K. Your visit is a real morale booster for all the workers of PCC. You have come at a time when the poll bugle has already been blown. This will give a new impetus to the party indeed,” he said while referring to Rahul Gandhi.

Notably, Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, and party chief Mallikarjun Kharge landed in Srinagar on Wednesday and were welcomed by an enthusiastic crowd.

The Election Commission of India (ECI) on August 16 announced that the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly elections will be held in three phases with results to be declared on October 4.(KNS).
