IGNOU extends last date of application for admission to July 2024 session

Srinagar: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the last date for online submission of admission applications for the July 2024 session to August 31, 2024.

A handout statement by IGNOU said that the date has been extended in order to accommodate potential learners who were unable to complete their admission formalities within the originally announced timelines. The statement further said that the extension applies to all certificate, diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate and masters programmes offered by the university.

IGNOU has launched various new programmes in the Open Distance Learning mode for the July 2024 admission cycle. These courses are aimed to enrich the educational opportunities available to aspiring students across the country.

Some of the new courses being offered include MBA in Agribusiness Management and Healthcare and Hospital Management, M.Sc. in Community Development and Extension, Performing Arts, Rehabilitation Psychology and certificate courses like Event Management, Early Childhood Special Education and Visual Impairment and Intellectual Disability.

Regional Director IGNOU Dr AH Rizvi emphasized the university’s commitment to providing accessible and flexible education opportunities to learners across Kashmir division including the UT of Ladakh.

IGNOU is a premier institution of open and distance learning in India, established with the intention of democratizing and expanding access to quality education for all. The university offers a wide range of academic programmes at various levels catering to diverse educational needs and aspirations.
