LG, DGP, IGP Extend Greetings on Raksha Bandhan

Srinagar: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has extended his heartiest greetings to the people on the eve of Raksha Bandhan.
In a message, the Lt Governor said: “I convey my greetings and good wishes to the people on the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan. This joyous festival reaffirms the sacred bond of love, affection and trust between brothers and sisters, and strengthens traditional values of our culture. May this festival bring happiness and peace to all and inspire us to work towards a society where women are empowered to reach their true potential”.
Meanwhile, Director General of Police, J&K R.R. Swain also extended warm greetings to the people of J&K, the martyr’s families, all ranks of J&K Police, Security Forces and their families on the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan.
In his message, he said that Raksha Bandhan is a festival that symbolizes the bond of protection and care, it symbolizes the special bonds between brothers and sisters. He expressed hope that this auspicious occasion would usher more peace, amity, harmony, progress and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir.
“As we celebrate this day, let’s remember the sacrifices of our brave martyrs and their families who lost their loved ones for the safety and security of people, for the sovereignty and integrity of the nation”, DGP said.
Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir, Vidhi Kumar Birdi, has extended his warmest greetings to the people of Kashmir on the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan.
In an official statement, IGP Vidhi Kumar Birdi said the festival, which symbolizes the strong bond of protection and affection between brothers and sisters. He expressed his hope that this special day would continue to strengthen these ties, fostering a spirit of unity and harmony among families and communities.
“May this festival of Raksha Bandhan bring joy, prosperity, and peace to every household. Let it serve as a reminder of the deep-rooted values of love and mutual respect that are cherished in our culture,” IGP Kumar stated.
He further conveyed his best wishes to all those celebrating, urging the public to celebrate the festival with warmth and goodwill while adhering to safety protocols.
