Kashmir Journalists to soon have Press Club: Executive Body

Srinagar: The executive body of the Press Club of Kashmir announced on Monday that a press club will soon be established in Srinagar, offering a dedicated space for the journalist fraternity in the region

In a statement issued to media here, A Spokesperson said, “We, the executive body of press club of kashmir, are pleased to inform the journalist colleagues and friends of kashmir valley that the fraternity will soon have a press club in srinagar under the name of PRESS CLUB OF KASHMIR.”

” Moreover, we would like to let our colleagues know that the UT administration’s functionaries have agreed to provide every possible help in establishing the club as soon as possible.

Executive body on Monday therefore held a meeting of the prominent journalists, nominated the executive body of the Press Club Of kashmir, among the prominent journalists are M Saleem Pandit as Patron/interim president of journalist of Times of India, Zulfikar Majid of Deccan Herald, as General Secretary and Farzana Mumtaz of News Kashmir, as treasurer”, he said.

A Spokesperson said that However, the executive members later held a meeting with the functionaries of the UT Administration, regarding their help and assistance in the establishment of the press club of Kashmir for the immediate opening of the club in srinagar

The functionaries of the UT administration assured the executive body of every possible help in the establishment of e press club in Srinagar in the shortest possible period.
