Baramulla: Police have arrested a drug peddler in Baramulla and recovered contraband substance from his possession.
A Police party of Police Station Bijhama headed by SHO PS Bijhama at a checkpoint established at Noorkhah Crossing, intercepted one person who was identified as Danish Javid son of Javid Ahmad resident of Jabdar Bijhama. During the search 30 grams of contraband charas like substances was recovered from his possession. He has been arrested and shifted to PS Bijhama where he remained in custody.
Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law have been registered at Police Station Bijhama and investigation has been initiated.
