Srinagar Municipal Corporation Promotes Waste Segregation in Swachhata Pakhwada Cleanliness Drive Campaign

Srinagar, Aug 2: In a dedicated effort to enhance cleanliness and waste management practices, the Srinagar Municipal Corporation orchestrated a Cleanliness Drive today as part of the ongoing Swachhata Pakhwada campaign. The initiative was designed to enlighten residents from all 74 electoral wards of Srinagar City on the significance of proper waste segregation.

SMC officials and volunteers actively interacted with residents during the drive, aiming to raise awareness about the advantages of waste segregation. Through engaging sessions and practical demonstrations, participants were educated on the importance of segregating biodegradable and non-biodegradable waste to enable efficient recycling and waste disposal methods.

The SMC encourages all residents to engage actively in waste segregation practices and integrate them into their daily routines. By embracing simple yet impactful actions like segregating waste at home and utilizing separate bins for different waste types, individuals can significantly contribute to promoting environmental sustainability and public health.

As the Swachhata Pakhwada campaign unfolds, the Srinagar Corporation Municipal remains steadfast in its commitment to cultivating a culture of cleanliness and waste management awareness among residents. Through collaborative endeavors and community involvement, the city strives to realize its vision of establishing a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable living environment for all.
