Minor boy from Chhattisgarh drowns to death near brick-kiln at J&K’s Pulwama

‘Police registers case, begins probe’

Pulwama : A minor boy died after falling in a pit near a brick-kiln at Hastikhud, Zadoora area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district, Officials said Friday.

Officials told News agency Kashmir News Corner (KNC) that a minor boy, aged 3 years  (name withheld)  son of Ganga Ram Resident of Sanjagram, Chhattisgarh at present, 7 star Brick Kiln, Hastikhud, Zadoora Pulwama, died after falling in a pit late on Thursday evening. “There was a water accumulation in the pit and the boy being just three years old, drowned to death as his family members remained unaware,” Officials said.

Meanwhile, police have registered a case under section (194 BNSS) and investigations have been started. A pall of gloom descended on the minor boy’s family after his body was retrieved from the pit.(KNC)
