Sacrifices given for Country never go in vain: PM Modi

Kargil: Prime Minister Narendra Modi paying tribute to the valor and sacrifices of the Indian armed forces on the 25th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas.

Speaking from the revered grounds of Ladakh, PM Modi reflected on the enduring legacy of the Kargil War heroes.

“Today, this great land of Ladakh is witnessing the 25th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas. Kargil Vijay Diwas tells us that the sacrifices made for the nation are immortal,” he stated, highlighting the indomitable spirit and bravery of the soldiers who fought in the 1999 Kargil conflict.

PM Modi emphasized that the sacrifices made by these soldiers will never be forgotten and that their valor continues to inspire the nation.

Kargil Vijay Diwas is commemorated annually on July 26 to honour the Indian soldiers who courageously reclaimed the mountain peaks occupied by Pakistani infiltrators.

In his address, PM Modi reiterated the nation’s gratitude towards the martyrs and highlighted the government’s commitment to the welfare of the armed forces and their families. He also underscored the importance of national security and the need to remain vigilant against any threats to the country’s sovereignty.

The prime minister’s address underscored the significance of this day in the nation’s history and its role in fostering a sense of unity and patriotism.

PM Modi’s tribute was followed by various ceremonies and events across the country, celebrating the heroic deeds of the soldiers and reaffirming the nation’s commitment to its armed forces.
