Nuzhat Mushtaq

Srinagar: In a recent interview with Asian Mail’s Editor-in-Chief Rashid Rahil, Rajya Sabha member Engineer Ghulam Ali Khatana highlighted the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) strategies in Jammu and Kashmir. Khatana emphasized the party’s commitment to empowering the youth in the region to address the pressing issue of unemployment.

“Under the leadership of Modi, many central schemes have been introduced to drive development in Jammu and Kashmir,” stated Khatana during the interview with Asian Mail.
Despite challenges like the Supreme Court’s rejection of the proposed special Gujjar regiment, the BJP remains resolute in implementing these schemes.

Khatana further added, “Empowering the youth is crucial for addressing the challenges of unemployment in Jammu and Kashmir.”
He also reiterated the party’s firm stance against dynastic rule, advocating for a more inclusive governance approach to bridge the gap between the government and the people.
Additionally, Rajya Sabha member Kathana emphasized initiatives to promote environmental cleanliness as part of the party’s vision for meaningful change in the region.

This interview offers valuable insights into the BJP’s approach in Jammu and Kashmir, focusing on youth empowerment, development through central schemes, and a commitment to breaking away from dynastic rule for a more inclusive governance model.
