Srinagar : An unidentified militant has been killed in an ongoing encounter in north Kashmir Kupwara district’s Keran sector, sources said.
They told the news agency CNS that the gunfight erupted near the line of control in Kupwara’s Keran sector after a group of militants, probably three to four in number, were seen by forces in the area.
“The security forces have so far gunned down one militant and the gunfight is currently going in the area,” sources said.
Meanwhile, an anti-militant operation has been underway in Jammu’s Doda district in which two army men were rendered injured.
