Police Arrest Three Fraudsters in Kreeri, Baramulla

Baramulla: Police arrested a gang of three fraudsters on Saturday in Kreeri area of Baramulla.

In a statement issued to Asian Mail, Police spokesperson said that the Police arrested the gang’s modus operandi involved cheating people by pretending to sell and purchase vehicles and promising government jobs in reputable institutions like banks and government departments.

In this regard the police registered an FIR (No. 100/24 U/s 318(4) BNS) and took the three accused into custody. The suspects have been identified as Mudasir Ahmad Mir, Firdosue Ahmad Mir (aka Sameer Khan), and Syed Akther.

“The Jammu and Kashmir Police are committed to protecting citizens from fraudulent activities and ensuring justice for the victims,” said a police spokesperson. “We urge the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities immediately.”

“The accused are currently in police custody, and further investigation is underway. Additional arrests are expected as the probe unfolds,” he added.
