Some Exchange Of Fire Between Militants And Security Forces In Kulgam

Kulgam: Some exchange of fire took place between militants and security forces in Mudergham area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Saturday.

A top police officer told GNS that a team of Police and security forces launched a cordon and search operation in Mudergham on a very specific input.

As the joint team approached the suspected area, the hiding militants fired upon the joint party, leading to a brief exchange of fire, the officer added.

Till this report was being filed there was no exchange of fire from both sides.

However, the cordon has been tightened in the area.
