Pulwama Police registers first FIR under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita

Pulwama: Rajpora Police Station in Pulwama district has registered its first FIR under the newly-adopted criminal law provisions, Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

The case FIR number 57/2024 marks a significant milestone in the region’s legal enforcement framework.

The case has been registered under sections 324 (2) and 329 (3) of BNS, reflecting the commitment of Pulwama Police to uphold the newly established legal standards. This development signifies a notable shift in the enforcement of law and order in the area, aligning with the latest criminal law reforms.
