PM Modi Praises J&K for Global Trade Achievements

 

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted the economic achievements of Jammu and Kashmir during his Mann Ki Baat radio address.

He praised the region for successfully exporting snow peas to London, marking a significant milestone for its economy. The Prime Minister emphasized the broader implications of such successes, stating they open new avenues for prosperity in the region.

He also mentioned Araku coffee from Andhra Pradesh, lauding its global recognition and awards. Modi underscored the increasing global acceptance of Indian culture, citing examples like Hindi programming on Kuwait Radio and celebrations of Indian heritage in Caribbean countries. He spoke about the international observance of Yoga Day, noting its widespread participation and impact. Also, Modi expressed pride in India’s democratic process and the upcoming participation of Indian athletes in the Paris Olympics.

He encouraged support for the athletes using the “cheer4Bharat” hashtag. The Prime Minister also mentioned the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ afforestation initiative and paid tribute to tribal freedom fighters Veer Sidhu and Kanhu.
