3 militants killed in Doda encounter: ADGP Jammu

Doda: Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Jammu Zone, Anand Jain on Thursday said that three hardcore militantss were killed in a day-long gunfight with security forces.

According to KNS correspondent, ADGP Jain said police had recovered two M4 rifles, one AK-47 rifle, grenades and other ammunition.

Speaking with media persons at Gundoh, ADGP Jain said on June 12, security forces had earlier established contact with terrorists in which a police constable was injured.

“Security forces had launched search operation after that and today immediately after receiving the information about their terrorists presence area, they were encircled and operation was launched which ended with elemination of three terrorists,” he said.

He added that identity of these terrorists is being ascertained.

ADGP Jain termed it a big achievement for security forces and added that search operation is continuing in the area after the killing all the three terrorists.

Speaking on the occasion about the encounter, the Brigadier Sunil Mishra Commander 9 Sector RR said it was a well coordinated operation with Doda police.
