Exam Irregularities Lead to NTA Director General’s Removal

Nuzhat Mushtaq

Srinagar: The Ministry of Education has removed NTA Director General Subodh Kumar Singh from his post amid recent irregularities in exams including NEET and UGC-NET. The ministry has appointed Pradeep Singh Kharola as the additional charge of the post of Director General, National Testing Agency (NTA).

The decision comes after allegations of widespread irregularities in the NEET and UGC-NET exams, including instances of question paper leaks and manipulation of results. The ministry has launched an investigation into these allegations and is taking steps to ensure the integrity of future exams.

“The Ministry of Education is committed to ensuring fair and transparent examinations for all students,” said a spokesperson for the ministry. “We are taking all necessary steps to address the recent irregularities and restore public confidence in the NTA.”
