Six Srinagar pilgrims among 10 die due to heatwave during Hajj

Srinagar: Ten pilgrims from J&K including six from Srinagar district have died due to the heatwave while performing Hajj.

Sources told Srinagar based news agency Kashmir Scroll that 10 pilgrims include six from Srinagar, two from Kulgam and one each from Baramulla and Jammu.

The deceased pilgrims from Srinagar have been identified as Mubina Akhter from Nowshera, Jana Begum from Karewa Damodar, Manzoor Ahmad Rangrez and Rifat from Rawalpora, Tahira from Chattabal and Sara Begum from Sanat Nagar.

Pilgrims from Kulgam include Hafeeza from Kharbrari Yaripora and Maneera Banoo from Hambatan pora Okey while pilgrims from Baramulla is Bashir Ahmad from Badambagh Sopore and Aziza Begum from Gujjar Nagar Jammu.(KS)
