Kreeri: People from different walks of life today remembered Senior Journalist and founding editor of Rising Kashmir, Syed Shujaat Bukhari, on his 6th anniversary.

A senior journalist said that Bukhari’s relentless pursuit of truth and unwavering commitment to peace continues to inspire journalists and advocates for justice across the region.

The former law minister and his brother, Syed Basharat Bukhari, also visited his grave at Muradabad Kreeri, where locals, friends, relatives, and journalists of Shujaat Bukhari also participated in special prayers for the departed soul.

Bukhari’s friend, Mohammad Amin Bhat, told KNS correspondent that Shujaat Bukhari was a great personality who always worked for peace and prosperity in the valley.

“Even after 6 years, it feels like he recently passed away. We will work till our last breath for his vision,” he told KNS.

Shujaat Bukhari was shot dead outside his office in Srinagar on June 14, 2018, and two of his personal security officers were also killed in the attack.
