1300 Students participate in Inter-School Zonal Level Competitions at Baramulla

Baramulla: The Youth Services and Sports Department Baramulla today successfully organized inter-school zonal level competitions at various zones of the district in which a total of 1300 students participated in various events, including Volleyball, Kabaddi and Kho-Kho.

Zone Baramulla kick-started its inter-school zonal level competition for under-14 boys at HS Khawaja Bagh. The events included Volleyball, Kabaddi, and Kho-Kho, witnessing participation from 900 students. The students expressed great enthusiasm and joy for the opportunity to compete.

Zone Pattan conducted its inter-school zonal level Kabaddi competition for both under-14 and under-17 boys. The event took place at the playfield of BMS Tappar Payeen and saw an impressive turnout, with 178 student players from various government and private schools participating.

Zone Chandanwari organized a sports competition for Kho-Kho for boys under the age group of under-14 at HSS Bijhama. Over 144 students from both government and private schools participated. The event was inaugurated by the Principal of HSS Bijhama, who emphasized the importance and value of sports in education.

Nazir Ahmad Bhat, DYSSO Baramulla, extended his gratitude to all the zonal in-charges and field staff for conducting these events in a disciplined and professional manner. The successful organization of these competitions highlights the department’s commitment to fostering sports and physical activities among the youth.
