Baramulla : Baramulla Police seized excavator, six tractors, besides arresting seven drivers,identified as Abdul Lateef Wani son of Gh Mohd resident of Aarth Budgam, Asil Ahmad Dar son of Ab Gani resident of Chichiloora, Mohd Akbar Kawa son of Ab Rehman resident of Kawapora Shadipora, Riyaz Ahmad Sofi son of Abdul Gani resident of Chichiloora, Mohd Ashraf Bhat son of Gh Nabi resident of Hanjiwera, Shakir Ahmad Bhat son of Shabir Ahmad resident of Wailoo Kunzer & Mushtaq Ahmad son of Gh Mohammad resident of Poonch, reads a statement.
Police spokesperson said that the drivers along with their vehicles were found involved in illegal extraction/ transportation of minerals.
In this regard police registered FIR under relevant sections of law in Police Station Tangmarg, Kunzer & Kreeri against them and investigations were taken up.
