Officials said that Amit Shah arrived in Srinagar on Thursday evening and left for New Delhi today morning.
During his visit to Srinagar, the Home Minister met several delegations including Sikhs, Paharis, Gujjars, civil society members and others.
Earlier, it was reported that Shah will chair a security meet to review arrangements for the forthcoming Amarnath Yatra, however, due to Model Code of Conduct in place the meeting was not held.
Amit Shah’s visit to Srinagar came at a time when Lok Sabha polls are being held across the country, however, the BJP has not fielded any candidate for three seats in the Kashmir Valley.
