Security Forces recover explosives, other arms and ammunition in Kupwara

Kupwara: In a major operation carried out by the joint security forces of Kupwara Police, Army’s 3 Naga and 97 Bn BSF in north Kashmir’s frontier Kupwara district, based on specific information received by Kupwara Police a cache of arms and ammunition were recovered.

An official told news agency Kashmir Scroll that on a specific information of Kupwara Police a naka was established at Lone Harie and during naka checking one terrorist associate namely Mushtaq ahmad lone son of Ab Rahman lone resident of Patru Keran* was successfully apprehended by naka party and from his possession and disclosure substantial quantity of arms and ammunition have been recovered that includes Pistol 02, Pistol Magazine 02, Hand grenades 10 and 54 9 mm rounds.

Meanwhile, a formal case in this regard has been registered in Police Station Kralpora and an investigation has been taken up.
