Police Arrested One Notorious Drug Peddler, Contraband And Cash Recovered

Anantnag: District Police Anantnag continuing its unwavering efforts to eradicate the Menace of Drugs from the society arrested one more Drug Peddler and recovered about 2.448 KGs of Charas Powder and cash of Rs 1,96,000 from his possession.
Police party from Police Station Bijbehara laid down a naka at Laktipora near PlayGround and intercepted one person Namely Mohammad Yousuf Malik S/O Mohd Jabbar Malik R/O Melhora Shopian and recovered about 2.448 KGs of Charas Powder and Rs.1,96,000 Cash from his possession. Accused was arrested and Contraband as well Cash was seized on spot.
In this regard Case FIR No. 105/2024 under relevant sections NDPS Act stands registered in Police Station Bijbehara and investigation is taken up.
Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding Drug peddlers in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law. Our consistent actions against Drug peddlers should reassure the community members that we are making efforts to keep our society free from the scourge of Drug Menace.
