Elections Being Conducted Peacefully in J&K: PK Pole

Srinagar: According to Jammu and Kashmir Chief Electoral Officer, Pandurang K. Pole, the ongoing elections in the Union Territory are proceeding peacefully.

During his visit to the historic Lal Chowk area in Srinagar, Pole expressed that the upcoming elections in Kashmir are going smoothly, similar to other parts of the country. The voting for the Srinagar parliamentary constituency is scheduled for May 13, while the Baramulla parliamentary constituency will vote on May 20.

He remains optimistic about a good voter turnout this time and urges people to exercise their democratic right and duty by voting for their preferred candidate. He emphasizes that voting is not just a right but also a responsibility.

The Chief Electoral Officer assures that the election department is working diligently to ensure a smooth and peaceful electoral process throughout Jammu and Kashmir.
