City road surface to be macadamized in coming 15 to 20 days: Commissioner SMC

Srinagar: Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) Dr. Owais Ahmad Wednesday asserted that road surface of Srinagar roads will be macadamized in coming 15 to 20 days.

Talking to Kashmir News Service while touring Karan Nagar area of Srinagar city, Commissioner SMC said the deadline of works undertaken under Smart City has been fixed June 30, but we are expecting the completion soon.

He said the underground works including shifting of electric cables have been completed while other civil works which are yet pending will be finished within one-and-a-half month.

Commissioner SMC added that blacktopping of city roads will be taken up once weather improves.

“Once weather improves the macadamization of roads will be taken up. The surface of city roads will be ready in coming 15 to 20 days,” he added.
