Need to persuade New Delhi to reverse August 05, 2019 decisions: Mehbooba Mufti

Anantnag: PDP President Mehbooba Mufti Tuesday said that in the ongoing Lok Sabha polls there is a need to elect a trustworthy representative who will persuade New Delhi that decisions taken on August 05, 2019 need to be reversed.

Mehbooba who was addressing an election rally in south Kashmir’s Anantnag asserted that PDP is the sole voice who spoke for its people in past two decades in odd and even circumstances.

“Jammu Kashmir is facing manifold issues like electricity paucity, hike in power bills, rise in unemployment etc. Also youth are being told to report to police stations where their mobile phones are being checked, and subsequently being detained on mere doubt. So in such a terrible atmosphere we need such a voice who will represent people in the Parliament in a true sense,” Mehbooba said.

She said that decisions taken on August 05, 2019 are anti-people and need to be reversed. “New Delhi has to return our rights with interest. They are trying to make us slave but we won’t give up. The ongoing LS polls are not a fight of NC, PDP or others, but an issue to send a daring representative to the Parliament who will speak for people and represent their aspirations,” she said.

She added the remarks made by NC that PDP does nowhere exist, has hurt our workers deeply.
