Asian Mail

Baramulla: The incessant rains that lashed north Kashmir’s Baramulla district for the last few days have triggered landslides on the Cherdari-Baba Reshi road, resulting in damage to the road.

The officials said that the landslide occurred on the Cherdari-Baba Reshi road Monday morning, causing damage to it.

Meanwhile, the incessant rains led to the inundation of several areas including some educational institutions in the Baramulla district on Monday.

In order to take swift action Deputy Commissioner Minga Sherpa visited the site and assured immediate restoration of the road access.

In a X post, “DC  B’la Minga Sherpa visited the landslide-hit B’la- Baba Reshi road at Cherdari; assures the public of swift restoration of road access as the weather improves. Advisory issued to keep the schools closed in the landslide and flood prone areas,” it stated.
