Inclement Weather conditions: Schools closed in Parts of  Kashmir

Srinagar: Authorities here on Monday suspended class work of various schools  in Parts of  Kashmir due to inclement weather conditions.

“In view of inclement weather and avalanche warning issued by JKDMA, the class work in all the schools is suspended across the District on 29-4-2024 as a precautionary measure for the safety of students,” the Kupwara administration said.

“However the teaching and non- teaching staff shall attend their duties to monitor the situation and ensure safety of institutional assets of their respective institutions,” it added.

Class Work shall remain suspended today in all HS/MS and PS (Govt and Private) schools in the Uri area of Baramulla.

“All the HOI’S shall personally monitor the situation and keep an eye on all the educational institutions under their control to avoid any risk of life or property,” ZEO Uri said.

Meanwhile the Bandipora Admin said “In view of inclement weather and avalanche warning issued by JKDMA, the class work in all the low lying schools of Bandipora is suspended on 29-4-2024 as a precautionary measure for the safety of students,”

“However the teaching/ Non- teaching staff shall attend their duties to monitor the situation and ensure safety of institutional assets of their respective institutions,” it said.

“In view of snowfall class work in all educational institutions of Sub Division Gurez shall remain suspended today on 29-04-2024,” the Gurez administration said.
