Our youth deserves place among their families, Not in jails and solitary confinements: Waheed Parra in Downtown

Srinagar : In the run-up to the Lok Sabha elections in Jammu & Kashmir, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Youth President and candidate from Srinagar-Pulwama parliamentary constituency, Waheed-ur-Rehman Parra, passionately urged the youngsters to exercise their voting rights to bring about positive change in the Valley. Parra was accompanied by Senior Party Leader & Ex MLA Asiya Naqash, State Secretary Abdul Hameed Kosheen, District President Abdul Qayoom and other party functionaries.
As per the statement issued here, addressing the youth in Downtown, Interior Dal and other areas of Srinagar district, Parra stressed the importance of seizing the opportunity to shape their futures, cautioning against the repercussions of abstaining from the electoral process. He emphasized that boycotting the elections could exacerbate the challenges faced by the Kashmiri populace, particularly the educated yet unemployed youth.
It is the time when the youngsters need a helping hand to showcase their skills or witness scam-free recruitment exams. Such a situation can only be witnessed when the youngsters turn up at the polling booths and elect their representatives, whom they aspire to see as voices in the parliament,” he asserted.
He reiterated, “Our youth deserve to be surrounded by their families and friends, fostering a sense of belonging and support, rather than being subjected to the harsh realities of incarceration and solitary confinement.” He said that PDP is committed to fostering genuine connections with the residents of Srinagar, especially the youth, ensuring that their concerns are heard and their needs are met. He emphasized, “We will make Srinagar stronger, together, by working hand in hand to address these challenges and build a brighter future for all.” He assured to redress all the concerns if voted to power.
