Reports reaching news agency Kashmir Scroll said that intense hailstorm was witnessed in Trenz, Mohandpora, Thairan, Dangarpora, Moolu and other adjacent hamlets.

The apple orchards, acting as a major source of income for the local populace, suffered major brunt as the hails’ have damaged the buds to a large extent.

Expressing distress, a local resident while talking with Kashmir Scroll (KS) emphasized the gravity of the situation, stating, “Damage to apple trees in the early stage is a very big problem. We request the administration to intervene as we don’t have any other source of income.”
