Nagrota police arrested three accused from Ganderbal for aiding escape of a notorious Criminal involved in multiple highway robberies from police custody

Jammu: Police team Nagrota swung into action after the notorious criminal involved in multiple highway robberies namely Basharat Mehmood S/o Mohd.Kabir R/o Saaj Nerojal,Tehsil
Thanamandi,Rajouri who escaped from police custody from District Court,Janipur.Accordingly a case FIR No.44/2024 U/S 353,332,224 IPC stands registered in PS Janipur against the accused.
After strenuous efforts of Nagrota police equally supported by technical team got a lead regarding presence of accused in Ganderbal area.Police party in close coordination with District police Ganderbal raided the said location and able to apprehended 03 persons namely:-
1.Zaffer Hussain khatana @ Adil S/O Abdul Hussain Khatana R/O Koteranka ,Panhard, Rajouri who had hatched a criminal conspiracy and was successful in escaping the accused Basharat from police custody on Pulsar Bike bearing Reg.No. PB35AH 7759 and the same bike was also recovered from Ganderbal.
2.Suhail Ahmad Kuhroo S/O Gh mouhuddin Kuhroo.
and
3.Sonia Kouser W/O Suhail Ahmad Khuroo both are residents of Athkhuroo Rabitar Shadipora Ganderbal were arrested by Nagrota police who had given shelter to these criminal in their home in Ganderbal District.
The main accused gave a slip to police by taking advantage of darkness.
Later on, a trio involved in hatching a conspiracy and harbouring criminals were arrested from Ganderbal and handed over to police station Janipur for further investigation.
