Bear Mauls Elderly Man in South Kashmir

Anantnag: An elderly man was injured after being attacked by a wild bear in the Larnoo area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Friday.

An official said that a wild bear attacked one person, namely Gull Mohd Dangroo (60), son of Ab Aziz Dangroo, resident of Lessu Larnoo, and he sustained injuries.

He mentioned that Dangroo was taken to PHC Larnoo for treatment, where after receiving first aid, he has been referred to GMC Anantnag for further treatment.

He has sustained injuries to his face, neck, and arm.

Locals have demanded attention from the wildlife department.
