Fisherman drowned to death after boat capsized in Wular lake, body retrieved

Bandipora: A 45 year old fisherman from Kanbathi village of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district was drowned to death after their boat capsized early morning in Wular lake.

Local sources while confirming the incident to Kashmir News Service said that Mushtaq Ahmad Kawa, Son of Gh Mohd Kawa resident of Kanbathi village of Bandipora district was on his way to catch fishes in Wular lake when his boat capsized in wular lake early this morning.

He also said that after hectic efforts by local fisherman’s his body was retrieved after around an hour from the lake.

“The body has been taken to the district hospital Bandipora, further investigation has been set up,”officials said.
