BJP MP writes to J&K Chief Secretary to resolve issues of CIC operators

Srinagar: BJP Rajya Sabha Member Ghulam Ali Khatana has written to Jammu and Kashmir Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo to take cognizance of the long pending issues of CIC (community information centre) operators working under the Rural Development Department (RDD).

Khatana urged the administration to prioritise resolving their genuine concerns regarding regularization of their services.

He has urged the administration to resolve the issues of CIC operators including regularisation of their services against the Data Entry Operator.

“You are requested to take the cognizance of the matter and resolve the issue so that justice could be delivered to the aggrieved candidates,” reads the letter.

The CIC operators were recruited on contractual basis in 2004 on merit basis through open competition and despite nearly 20 years of their service they have not been regularized.
