Jammu-Srinagar highway partially restored for traffic

Srinagar: The Srinagar-Jammu highway was restored partially after remaining closed for the vehicular movement from past 12 hours, Traffic officials said on Monday.

A J&K Traffic Police said, “Jammu-Srinagar NHW (NH-44) was partially restored, stranded vehicles between Nashree and Banihal are being cleared.

“Moreover, traffic plying from Srinagar towards Kargil. Commuters are advised to follow lane discipline”, he said.

Earlier, Both sides traffic movement was stopped on Jammu-Srinagar NHW due to landslide near Khooni Nalah in Ramban district.
